Drop-in group equipment sessions are small group training performed on the large equipment and apparatus, such as the reformer and tower. The spring weights, carriage, straps, footbar and springbar increase the resistance, and the challenge, of the exercises.
Pilates on the equipment provides a thorough full body workout. It teaches you the fundamentals of core strength and alignment and also works the arms, legs, hips and shoulders through spring-based strength training. Modifications will be offered to accommodate different body types and levels of fitness.
Classes are 55 minutes in length and group size is limited to four students per class to ensure that everyone gets the personal attention needed to master the exercises.
Prerequisites: Drop-in classes are designed for people with some Pilates experience. You need to have taken either a series of privates and have instructor permission, or have completed at least 20 Fundamentals classes. If you have Pilates experience but are new to our studio, please take a Free Trial Session or a Private Session to assure the class is appropriate for you, and you are comfortable with our teaching style and terminology.
